I had exciting encounters at the Ethical Fashion Week in Berlin in January, which was part of the greater Berlin Fashion Week. It's basically the main gathering of many European sustainable and fair fashion brands. I had the chance to talk to eco concept store owners, bloggers, other ethical fashion brand owners, suppliers and retailers. Needless to say that it was very inspirational and I learned a lot about the t-shirt game and about fashion business in general! Moreover, it was really positive to feel a certain solidarity among the brands. We're part of the fashion revolution and want everyone to succeed for the greater goal.
Some of these ethical fashion brands have come up with truly ingenious ways of reducing waste, upcycle and recycle. Brands like Dedicated or Knowledge Cotton have caught my eye for really stylish urban menswear.
At the Ethical Fashion Trade Show
While my focus was on the ethical fashion branch of the fashion week, I didn't miss the opportunity to head over to Seek, a gigantic contemporary urban fashion trade show.
The buzzing Seek
I was delighted to see some fellow New Yorkers and all time favorites, even if it was only in a picture by the famous photographer Ricky Powell.
